Jojo Part 5 Fugo Cant Continue
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Golden Wind is the fifth part in the incredibly popular and appropriately bizarreJoJo series. To date,Golden Windis the most recent chapter of the generational saga to be animated by David Production. The animation of the fifth part was once again superb and fans could have no complaints when it came to the fights. The story, though, is another matter.
The main protagonist of Golden Wind is Giorno Giovanna, who's one of the many sons of DIO and undoubtedly the most relevant one. Unlike his father, Giorno has a very noble goal, which is to take over the Italian Mafia and use the criminal enterprise for good. The part is filled with interesting characters and the story is great as well. Here's a look at five things that the fans liked about Golden Windand five more that they hated.
10/10 LIKED: Polnareff Returns
Golden Wind has an excellent cast, and almost all the present characters have been brilliantly written. The cast got even better when Araki revealed the series' biggest surprise: he brought back Polnareff.
Polnareff became a fan favorite ever since he first appeared in Stardust Crusaders. His inclusion in Golden Wind just made the entire series even more enjoyable than it already was. It was really nice to see Polnareff having an important role in Part 5.
9/10 HATED: Giorno Is Too Stoic
To date, Giorno has been labeled by many as the worst JoJo, and there are quite a few reasons for it. The biggest reason is that Giorno doesn't show his emotions as much as the other JoJos did, which makes some think that he has no personality to speak of.
He's almost always stoic and that is the main reason that fans don't find him engaging. Giorno is focused on his goal of toppling Diavolo and he doesn't seem to have much concern about what happens to others, which makes him frankly kind of boring.
8/10 LIKED: Arise Gold Experience Requiem!
It was already hinted in Part 4 -- Diamond is Unbreakable --that a stand could be evolved further. This was confirmed and even given a proper term in Golden Wind.
Polnareff was the first person to coin the term "Requiem" to his stand, and he told Giorno that the only way to beat Diavolo was to pierce Gold Experience with the stand arrow. Giorno managed to do so and his stand became Gold Experience Requiem. The transformation of the stand left the fans in awe.
7/10 HATED: Fugo Gets An Early Goodbye
Fugo is among the most interesting characters in Part 5. Being an integral part of Bucciarati's gang, fans were expecting Fugo would have a pivotal role in the coming fight versus Diavolo. Fugo had everything that is required to make a great character, but for some reason, Araki decided to waste him.
Rather than stay any longer in the story, Fugo left Bucciarati's group when he found out that Bucciarati and company were going to take down the boss of Passione.
6/10 LIKED: The Best Capo Saves Trish Una
Bucciarati is considered by many to be the best character in Golden Wind, and they have plenty of proof to back up their claim. Throughout the adventure, Bucciarati came up in clutch moments and saved the day.
The biggest save by Bucciarati was when he decided to disobey Diavolo's orders and save Trish from being killed. It was only due to Bucciarati's sacrifice that Trish was able to find out the real identity of her father.
5/10 HATED: Mister "I Hate Giorno" Is Severely Underused
Abbacchio had such a moving backstory and his stand, Moody Blues, was pretty cool as well. He will be remembered for the memes that were related to his behavior towards Giorno. Despite staying with Bucciarati's group, Abbacchio never had enough screentime.
The only time he was used properly was during the Man in the Mirror fight. After that, he was barely used by Araki, which is quite disappointing.
4/10 LIKED: Doppio Vs. Risotto Nero
Bucciarati's group wasn't the only one that was chasing Diavolo; the Assassin Squad was also after Diavolo. Only one member of the Assasin Squad managed to get close to Diavolo, and that was Riotto Nero. Even better, Risotto Nero didn't even know that Doppio was actually the boss!
The fight was intense and for the majority of the bout, Risotto had the upper hand. Doppio was saved by sheer luck as Narancia's Aerosmith shot down Risotto Nero.
3/10 HATED: The Series Just Ended
The ending of Golden Wind was a bit rushed, to say the least. The fight between Diavolo and Giorno was over in the blink of an eye, which was anti-climactic since Giorno just overpowered Diavolo so easily.
Then after the fight ended, nothing about Trish was shown nor was there any information on how the people reacted when Giorno was proclaimed as the new boss of Passione. After all that build up,Golden Windcould've used a more fulfilling and deserving finale than the abrupt one fans got.
2/10 LIKED: Giorno Outfoxes Polpo
In order to fulfill his ambition, Giorno had to join a gang, namely Passione. To get in, Giorno needed to pass the lighter test. Polpo ordered Giorno to keep a lighter lit for 24 hours. While Giorno was in the middle of this initiation, an innocent man was carelessly killed by Black Sabbath (Polpo's stand) and so Giorno sought revenge.
He went to Polpo after the allotted time was over. He turned a pistol into a banana; Polpo unknowingly tried to eat the banana but, as expected, he ended up shooting himself.
1/10 HATED: Narancia Is Gone Too Soon
Narancia was one of the members of Bucciarati's gang. He decided to go along with Bucciarati's plan of killing Diavolo because he actually relates with Trish's plight. And so, Narancia helped the gang several times. When the gang found out Diavolo's true identity, Chariot Requiem was activated and he switched the souls of all the people around him, including Diavolo's.
Diavolo didn't waste the opportunity and he used the power of his stand to kill Narancia (who was in Giorno's body) in a ghastly way. Narancia's death shocked fans, as it happened so quickly that it took a while for them, Bruno and company to figure out what exactly happened.
